Charger Conversions

A popular path to explore when the capacity of the charger has been reached with differing ratio pulleys, by changing the overall size of the charger with bigger litre capacity models we are able to force far more air into the engine and when mixed with greater fuelling capacity then larger combustion can be reached. More bang = more BHP.
Most charger conversions require extensive modifications with heavy supporting mods from ECU, Fuel and in some cases engine internals, the only way to drive your Jaguar is with a vicious supercharger whine and tyre smoke.
AJ16 M112 conversions –

These are popular conversions on AJ16 XJR6 engines in order to double the output of the original Eaton supercharger while not needing to go to the extent of strengthening the engines internals in the larger conversions.

By utilising the Jaguar supercharger from the 4.2ltr V8 models and increasing the size of the throttle body used we are able to mount the charger in the same location under the inlet manifold. This is achieved by using custom brackets, inlets and outlets to increase the size of the air path and therefore removing any possible restriction or choke point.

Coupled with the larger supercharger we need to increase the size of the fuel pump and injectors to match the air flow this can then only be controlled by a standalone engine management system and custom loom, lastly a custom dyno tuning session is carried out in order to ensure maximum tuning capability.

  • Billet Charger inlet and outlets,
  • Billet supercharger mounting bracket,
  • Larger bore throttle body,
  • Standalone engine management and loom,
  • Larger capacity injectors and fuel pumps,
  • Custom belt assembly with idlers, tensioners and belt,
  • Billet manifold spacer,
AJ33 Kenne Bell 4.0 and 4.2 V8 conversions –

The ultimate charger upgrade for the early V8 format engines, Kenne bell supercharger is a game changer when trying to achieve big power from your Jaguar. With many options including the monster 4.9ltr charger used in our 740bhp X100 there is a charger that will suit any application of build, from a responsive street build to a high BHP track car and everything in-between.

Kenne Bell charger conversions are best coupled with a built engine for maximum results and due to the level of modifications needed to fuel, intake, standalone ecu, exhaust, Manual gearbox conversion, cooling system and breather system we would suggest getting the various other stages completed first in order to support the chargers capacity.

The main conversion requires replacement of the Eaton M112 charger and due to its size also requires modification to intake manifolds and charge cooler system, this option can be spec’d for air to air intercooler if requested and ideal for track driving to keep temperatures consistent.

Not for the faint hearted and a strong package for maximising power from the early V8 engines.

AJ16 TVS 1900 conversions –

The ultimate package for conversions on the AJ16 XJR6 format engines,  Utilising the 5.0 V8 Jaguar TVS supercharger we are taking the capacity to nearly 4 times that of the original little Eaton on the engine from factory. Squeezing in as much air and fuel as possible we are pushing close to 500bhp with supporting modifications such as fuelling and standalone ECU.

With a few TVS charger options available we can spec the best solution for you, Using in house designed billet inlets and outlets as well as fully billet inlet manifolds and charger bracket this conversion is a major step to creating serious power from the straight 6. The conversion has been on our championship winning XJR6 for years and never missed a beat in performance even when being pushed to extremes battling at the front of the championship.

Recommended to be used with a fully built engine to ensure reliability at higher RPM for extended periods when on track or racing, we fully recommend ensuring all SR recommendations for supporting mods are followed in this instance due to the demands of the charger and the correct flow needed from both intake and exhaust etc.

This package is best suited for heavy track and race car use due to its need for aggressive supporting mods and the nature of these inducing heavy noise on the car.
