Founded in 1985, the Swallows Brand has evolved through three generations of expertise in engineering and four decades of association with Jaguar vehicles.
Our History
Gary Robinson founded Swallows in 1985. His grandfather Thomas Robinson was an aviation engineer who worked through the ranks at the famous aircraft manufacturer De Havilland to become head engineer and his father Pete Robinson, was a master gunsmith but with a passion for all things in motorsport. It’s therefore easy to see where Gary’s love of everything engineering and automotive comes from.

Swallows began life as a Jaguar specialist in Ruislip, Middlesex before it moved to its present rural location just south of Bristol in Somerset over twenty years ago. The love for cars and motorsports is truly in our blood. Our family claim a rich history of motorsport, Gary having raced at a professional level for many years for a factory race team. His infectious enthusiasm along with his passion for Jaguars and motorsport has spread to his two sons Tom and Jack.
Tom Robinson
Tom is the creator of the Swallows Racing brand inspired in 2016 when he began racing himself in a Jaguar XJ6. Swallows Racing goes from strength to strength developing performance parts, upgrades, and packages to make some of the world’s best cars better.
Jack Robinson
Jack is currently growing the Swallows car sales arm of the business. Selectively sourcing quality used cars from Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin offering unique SR packaged cars. 2024 will see Jack on the grid racing his own XK8.
