SR Brand New Poly Bush Arms

Swallows Racing Suspension Solutions

Driven by Demand, Built for Quality

We’ve always believed that many of the best ideas are born in the workshop when it comes to making our Jaguars better. Whether it’s through conversations with our customers, our technicians, recurring patterns in vehicle repairs, or requests from passionate Jaguar owners, our product development has and always will be shaped by real-world demand.

Being an end user of parts with our large workshop facility as well as a parts manufacturer and supplier drives our ethos to ensures every product we create is not only high in quality, but also user-friendly. We strive to make our parts accessible to all—whether you’re a weekend DIY enthusiast or a professional technician. We focus on providing practical solutions that deliver measurable improvements in performance, durability, and ease of installation. Suspension arms are a case in point.

The Suspension Challenge

One area where we see consistent challenges is Jaguar suspension maintenance. Modern Jaguar platforms are known for their ride quality and precision handling—but they also present several hurdles when it comes to long-term maintenance. Many customers experience premature wear in rubber bushes, excessive noise, or degraded handling, especially on ageing vehicles or those used in spirited driving conditions. Often, replacing or upgrading these parts is far from straightforward due to the complexity of disassembly and the specialised equipment needed.

We are making a smarter approach to suspension upgrades and therefore making maintenance easier, more effective, and longer lasting. We’re particularly focused on replacing standard components with high-performance alternatives, without adding unnecessary complexity or cost. One of the most common requests we’ve received over the years involves polyurethane bushes. These polyurethane upgrades are well known for their performance and longevity, and we’ve used them extensively in our own racing program. However, there’s a clear barrier to wider adoption: the installation process.

Fitting polyurethane bushes into Jaguar suspension arms, especially aluminium types often requires equipment that even some professional garages may not have. These are the challenges for both professional trades people and home installers.

  • Bushes that can need a 20-tonne hydraulic press just to remove.
  • Aluminium arms from newer Jaguar models requiring a 50-tonne fly press, due to their tighter tolerances and increased strength.
  • Bush installations that consume hours of labour and create high workshop costs.

It’s no wonder many owners either avoid the upgrade altogether or resort to partial fixes that don’t address the root issue.

The Solution

To eliminate the frustration and bring performance upgrades within reach, we now offer pre-assembled suspension arms with polyurethane bushes already installed—ready to fit straight out of the box.

We have now made pre-pressed arms available to order directly from our website and are designed to fit the most common Jaguar platforms produced between 2003 and 2015, including:

  • S-Type
  • X350
  • X351 (XJ)
  • X150 (XK)
  • X250 (XF)
  • F-Type

Each unit begins life as a brand-new Lemförder arm—one of the world’s most trusted OEM suppliers. Where applicable, we press in polyurethane bushes for improved durability and handling, while retaining Lemförder’s OEM-spec ball joints and spherical bearings, ensuring factory-grade reliability and ride quality.

Two Bush Options to Match Your Needs

Depending on your driving style and vehicle use, you can choose from two polyurethane bush specifications:

  • Road Series – 24% stiffer than original equipment (OE) rubber. Perfect for daily drivers and performance road cars, offering a balance of comfort and improved responsiveness.
  • Performance/Track Series – 37% stiffer than OE rubber. Designed for track, racing, or aggressive use, delivering sharper handling with maximum chassis control.

This tailored approach means you can upgrade your vehicle’s suspension without compromising on comfort—or go all-in for race-ready performance.

Why Choose Pre-Assembled Arms?

  • No need for specialist tools – Forget 50-tonne presses and complex fitting procedures.
  • No need to return cores – Keep your original arms or recycle them locally.
  • No installation stress – Simply unbolt your old arms and fit the new ones using basic hand tools.
  • No compromise – You get factory quality parts with superior bushings, ready to fit and engineered to last.

This is a Swallows Racing ‘plug-and-play’ solution that saves time, reduces cost, and improves handling performance.

Expanding the Range

We’re not stopping here. Our next product release focuses on the Jaguar X100 platform—a popular choice among enthusiasts and collectors. Unlike newer models, the X100 features all-steel suspension arms, which require a slightly different engineering approach.

Here’s what to expect from our upcoming X100 suspension arms, launching in late 2025

  • Cerakote for superior corrosion protection and extended finish life, especially important for older cars.
  • Lemförder ball joints, for proven reliability and precision fit.
  • Your choice of polyurethane Road or Performance/Track Series bushes.
  • Available through an exchange service, ensuring sustainable manufacturing and cost efficiency.

Expansion allows us to bring the same level of care, quality, and innovation to classic/modern classic Jaguars models, helping keep these iconic vehicles performing at their best.

Performance engineering is our lifeblood, and motorsport drives us to constantly improve the products we deliver. Pre-assembled arms with polyurethane bushes are the result of years of real-world testing, customer feedback, and workshop insight. Every product we develop reflects our hands-on workshop experience and commitment to quality. From the racetrack to the road, Swallows Racing engineer solutions that make Jaguars better, reduce maintenance, and make the ownership experience more enjoyable.
