X100 Manual Conversion: Here and ready for the road..

Developing a high-performance automotive product is a meticulous process that takes years of refinement. Over the past three years, we have perfected every aspect of our manual conversion, creating the most advanced iteration of the X100 to date.


From Concept to Reality: Engineering Evolution

Jaguar originally conceptualised a manual transmission for the X100, with a prototype developed by SVO. However, it was never fully realised. Drawing from our motorsport expertise, we have taken this concept and engineered a comprehensive solution that surpasses factory specifications in performance, ergonomics, and reliability.

This conversion is not just an adaptation—it is a complete engineering package designed for an unparalleled driving experience.


Precision-Engineered Components

Our commitment to excellence ensures a superior driving experience over factory offerings. Each component has been carefully designed, manufactured, and rigorously tested under both track and road conditions for seamless operation.

We have engineered all key components from the ground up, avoiding modifications to existing Jaguar parts. Our proprietary pedal box and shifter assembly provide:

  • Perfect Heel-and-Toe Spacing – Ensuring precision control.
  • Uniform Footpad Levels – Improving ergonomics and comfort.
  • Short-Throw Shifter – Enabling rapid gear changes for an immersive and responsive drive.

ZF6 Gearbox: The Optimal Choice

We selected the ZF6 manual gearbox for its superior performance benefits:

  • Direct Bolt-On Compatibility – No adapters required, unlike Tremec alternatives, which alter shifter positioning and demand a custom driveshaft.
  • High Torque Capacity – Designed to handle significantly greater torque, making it ideal for supercharged applications.
  • Optimised Gear Ratios – Lower gearing enhances acceleration and responsiveness.

To complement the gearbox, we developed a billet flywheel and five-paddle clutch, striking the perfect balance between everyday drivability and high-performance capability.


3D-Modelled Precision for Ergonomics & Performance

Using advanced 3D modelling, we have optimised the shifter assembly and pedal box for maximum precision. The result:

  • Enhanced pedal spacing for comfort and control
  • A mechanical feel that surpasses factory standards
  • A transmission system that excels in both city driving and on the track

Enhanced Exhaust System for Clearance & Performance

Due to the ZF6 gearbox’s dimensions, the factory catalytic converters must be replaced. Our in-house SR 300-cell sports catalytic converters provide:

  • Increased clearance for optimal fitment
  • Improved exhaust flow for reduced back pressure
  • Enhanced mid-range power delivery

Most factory catalytic converters are now over 20 years old and prone to failure, making this upgrade a vital reliability and performance enhancement.


Industry-First Electronic Integration

The most complex challenge was integrating the manual transmission into the XK’s CAN network. Traditional swaps bypass the Transmission Control Module (TCM), causing loss of speedometer function, cruise control, and even air conditioning. Our solution maintains full functionality and road compliance.

After nearly three years of development with PVE, we have achieved seamless integration using the Maxx Race ECU and a custom conversion harness. This system fully replicates CAN signals, ensuring compatibility across all 4.2L engine VIN ranges. (Support for 4.0L VINs is scheduled for late 2025.)


Future-Proofed ECU & Performance Enhancements

The Maxx Race ECU restores full factory functionality and introduces advanced tuning capabilities, including:

  • Real-time data logging & diagnostics
  • Unlimited tuning potential (supporting turbocharged setups)
  • Launch control & anti-lag features
  • App based ECU control with remote start and data logging as well as full code read functions

Additionally, our manual conversion package is compatible with SR performance upgrades, such as upgraded pulleys, injectors, and exhaust systems. With these enhancements, the X100 can exceed 500 BHP, rivalling modern high-performance sports cars.

For a complete transformation, we recommend pairing the manual conversion with handling and braking upgrades. These enhancements refine driving dynamics, ensuring the X100 remains competitive with today’s high-performance vehicles.

  • This package is available only for RHD applications and only for 4.2 X100 XK8 and XKR models. (Development of X100 4.0 and X150 4.2 models due for release 2026)
