The most complex challenge was integrating the manual transmission into the XK’s CAN network. Traditional swaps bypass the Transmission Control Module (TCM), causing loss of speedometer function, cruise control, and even air conditioning. Our solution maintains full functionality and road compliance.
After nearly three years of development with PVE, we have achieved seamless integration using the Maxx Race ECU and a custom conversion harness. This system fully replicates CAN signals, ensuring compatibility across all 4.2L engine VIN ranges. (Support for 4.0L VINs is scheduled for late 2025.)
