Testing Times

WHY WE GO RACING Unfortunately, this isn’t exactly the race report I had planned to write, and really, it’s not even a race report. The weekend at Oulton Park didn’t pan out as planned with just testing, qualifying and only half a race completed. So instead I thought I’d write about why we go racing. There are several reasons for going racing, testing ourselves as race car builders, technicians, technical ability, drivers, the challenge of making a machine do something that it wasn’t designed to do, friendship and comradery with people…

After a strong showing in the first two rounds at Snetterton four weeks ago Tom Robinson in our number four car was in positive mood going to a circuit which he knew would suit the car.…

British GT Championship At Donington Park

Last weekend we had the absolute pleasure of being able to join the Invictus Games team at Donington park for the final round of the British GT championship. With the F-Type being the first GT car in recent history from Jaguar to enter the leagues of competitive racing we were excited to see the cars in action and take a closer look at the team from the comfort of the pits. One of the first things to strike you is the unmissable Invictus livery which grabs you attention and showing off…

JEC Saloon & GT Donington 15th – 16th September 2018

Powered by Balti As we head towards the end of the season, Donington is one the most popular circuits on the calendar and played host to a JEC racing triple header. Donington for the JEC racers has also become about ‘Cars & Curry’ and the annual Saturday night pilgrimage to the Gandhi in downtown Donni, after all the money we have spent there perhaps they would like to sponsor us, ‘Powered by Balti’! Adam elected to retire his car for the remainder of the season after the difficulties encountered at Thruxton…

JEC Saloon & GT Castle Combe 7th May 2018

Castle Combe was host to round 3 of the championship, 21 big Cats joined us at what was a fine but very hot day unlike rounds 1 & 2 at Snetterton in April. In a change of procedure, this was scheduled as a 30 minute race rather than the usual 20 minutes, necessitating some drivers having to install larger fuel tanks. Notable absentee was championship stalwart Adam Powderham who, due to business commitments, missed his first race in 6 years but attended as a spectator. Having missed the first 2 rounds…
