Three weeks on from our successful Pembrey test day we headed to Donington Park for rounds 5 & 6 of the JEC Saloon & GT Championship and it’s fair to say we were feeling optimistic especially with a dry forecast and the XJR6 in fine fettle. Qualifying proved a little tricky with a forty-two cars on the two mile circuit due to having a shared grid with the CSCC Open Series. Never really finding enough air for a totally clean lap, Tom still managed second on the grid and only a…
Judge a book by its cover, that well known saying became a reality for Swallows when we were kindly asked by our partners at the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club to help organise a photo shoot for world-renowned automotive and motorsport photographer James Mann. So we set our own consultant and keen photographer Colin Porter the task of putting together a collection of cars worthy of the front cover of a new book on Jaguars to be published in the coming months for the US market. Using our ‘little black book’ of contacts…
With very little track time this season due to the Covid restriction and our Snetterton rounds being abandoned due to flooding, we decided to book a last-minute test day at Pembrey circuit in South West Wales. A track we haven’t visited before, Pembrey has been a favourite testing ground for British Touring Cars and even F1. This was a first opportunity to really assess our winter upgrades to the XJR6 on a dry circuit. The high-speed 1.7 mile Pembrey layout proved to be our liking and we able to get in…
With rounds 3 & 4 of the JEC Toyo Tires Watchdogapp.com Saloon & GT Championship moved from Silverstone due to the changes in the F1 calendar, Snetterton in Norfolk a round trip of over 500 miles was our weekend destination. With a little more fettling since our last round at Thruxton we were optimistic of putting in another competitive performance with the XJR6 and being able to contest the podium places. We were pleased to awake on Sunday after the long drive on Saturday to a dry circuit, whilst overcast it…
Probably the cheapest and easiest modification you could make to your Jaguar, Swallows Racing replacement panel filters are a great first step in helping your car breath more freely. Developed exclusively in partnership with Pipercross by Swallows Racing specifically for Jaguar. The foam is layered in a format that catches different particles at different levels. This layering, and the thickness off the foam, is what allows our filters to catch dirt, but not get blocked up in the same way an OEM paper or cotton filter would. The oil within the…

So, we decided to go a bit further with the car than we ever intended. Swallows Racing has always been at the forefront of reinventing the wheel so to speak developing the power hungry AJ16 engine, developing the manual conversion to the S-Type R and now making the drivers Jaguar even better with manual conversions for the X150 body shell. The X150 has been the greatest of a generation and what’s not to love, from stunning looks to powerful engines and handling its the ultimate mix of all 3 however as driving purists would agree it is missing the all important ingredient.. a manual gearbox. We…
