With the body off to address engine issues, it gave us…

Hitting the headlines

The Swallows publicity machine has been working overtime lately having been featured recently in the JEC magazine when editor Nigel Thorley visited us in Somerset to write an in-depth focus on our history, work and progress with Swallows Racing. This was followed closely by a piece from Exclusively Jaguar’s Letitca Mace interviewing Swallows head Gary Robinson at Jaguar Spares which featured in the JDC magazine. Swallows Racing’s Tom Robinson drives the Series Elite Project 8 I was delighted to be invited by Series Elite CEO Graeme Glew to drive the Jaguar SVO built Project 8 XE around Silverstone International circuit at the recent MotorsportDays.LIVE event. As I’m sure you can understand I jumped at the chance to get behind the wheel of such a well-regarded wild Jaguar!   The first thing you notice about the car is its resemblance of a steroidal version of Jaguar’s entry-level saloon combined with the Series Elite stylish new race livery the vehicle…

With persistent rain leading up to 15th October we anxiously checked the BBC weather site and pleasingly Tuesday looked fair, however for Gary and the team setting up the evening before it was pretty wet. The paddock quickly filled with a range of Jaguars, F-Types, XK8’s, XKR’s, E-Types, S-Types, XJ’s and a selection of race cars from the JEC Racing Saloon & GT Championships. The day was supported by a number…

Thrilling Thruxton

A combination of a heavy workload and Friday traffic chaos meant a late evening arrival at Thruxton in Hampshire for the most ‘local’ round of the JEC Racing Saloon & GT Championship. With the gearbox finally sorted on Tom’s XJR after syncro issues at Anglesey, the mood in the Swallows camp was quietly optimistic. After all, Thruxton is the UK’s fastest circuit which suits the car, and this was where Tom had the best result of the season last year. QUALIFYING Glorious early Autumn sunshine greeted us for qualifying. Getting out…
